Since the roof style of Boxed Eave Garage closely match the roof style of most homes, it's a popular choice with our customers. Since the panels are oriented horizontally, the drainage is off of both the ends and the sides of the unit. With the vertical roof garages, drainage it off to the sides of the unit. If you are placing the metal garage adjacent to your home or another structure and are concerned with side drainage is a concern, this style garage may be your best bet. 

There are limitations to the boxed eave roof system on the garage. If the unit is going to be installed in area that get heavy snow, the vertical roof is the best choice. With the horizontal panels on the boxed eave roof system, it tend to hold snow whereas the vertical roof will allow the snow to exit to side of the unit since the corrugated ridges are running up and down. Also, the longest, continuous panel that can be transported to the job site is 36' so that is the maximum roof length that we offer in this roof system. With the vertical roof, we can build a unit as long as you need.

Garages employing the boxed eave roof are available in widths up to 30' wide and in side heights up to 14' tall. We can install these units on most any site that is level, on concrete, ground, grass, gravel, asphalt, and even wood decks. Engineer certification is available for all of the metal garages that we offer. However, we cannot provide certification on units installed on a wood foundation and we do not install on floating docks. We can provide kits for the end user to install on a floating dock.

As with all of our products, both 14 gauge and 12 gauge framing systems are available. 29 gauge steel panels, as well as optional 26 gauge panels are also available. A variety of garage door sizes from 6' wide up to 12' wide are in stock and garage door heights up to 14' tall are available, as well. Other options such as windows, walk-in doors, lean-tos, interior end walls, and insulation is available in most areas.
