What Options are Available for Metal RV Carports?

  • Length - RV Carport units can be built as long as you need. Standard lengths are 21' Long, 26' Long, 31' Long, 36' Long, 41' long and increase in 5' increments. tall as you need but the side height cannot exceed the width of the unit. If you need a 14' tall unit, the minimum width is 14'
  • Side Height - In most areas, we offer side heights up to 14' tall. Almost always, 12' tall units are adequate for most RVs, if the ends are open, considering our units are pitched and rise towards the apex of the unit, which allows ample clearance for most center-mounted air conditioning units.
  • Certification - Depending on your state or local code requirements, some units can be purchased as non-certified. For those areas that require building permits, certified is the only option. Certification means that the unit is built to withstand the wind and snow load requirements specified by your state/local building codes. Because of the height on most RV shelters, for all units on a ground or gravel surface, we recommend that the unit be certified because of wind exposure. Certified units on a non-concrete surface utilize the more substantial, double-helix mobile home anchors.
  • Side Walls - You have the option of leaving the side wall(s) open, adding 18" wide panel, 36" wide panel, 72" wide panel, or closing the side wall to the ground. Nearly 95% of the time, at least one 3' wide panel is requested on each side wall for additional roof shelter and protection.
  • End Walls - You have the open of leaving the ends open, placing a gable in the end wall, placing an extended gable in the end wall, or closing the end wall to the ground.

How are RV Carports Utilized?

Our metal RV cover products can be used on your property when your RV, fifth-wheel, motorhome, or motorcoach is not it use. Some RV owners are choose to not extend the slide-outs while others do when the unit is under the shelter. Some RV parks allow you to place RV shelters on site for extended stays at those RV parks, especially if your are a long-term lessor. We also have mini-storage facilities that utilize our RV shelters to provide covered storage RV owners than have no place for one of their units on their property or where local restrictions do not allow for one of metal carport units. If you do not want to move your RV, we can build the metal RV cover over your stationary RV.  Our open RV carports can be enclosed later to create a fully enclosed RV garage. If you plan on enclosing the unit later, you should consider a until tall enough to accommodate any garage door that you might need.
